First Day of School 2015

Wednesday started the new school year.  Joshua is in second grade, Minna started kindergarten, and Miriam is doing a once a week informal preschool co-op.  We tried to take back to school pictures.  And this is what they did. 

And when they put the papers down they looked everywhere but the camera.

Joshua and Miriam both wanted their own pictures taken.

Minna was a little hesitant to get on the bus, but she got on.  When they came home it was super cute to watch Joshua hold Minna's hand as they run across the road.

We are excited for Minna in kindergarten because she is in the same class as one of her best friends, Myna.  Ashley and I have known each other since we were pregnant with Minna and Myna and hoped that someday they would go to kindergarten together so we could dress them similarly. And since they ended up in the same class we bought them matching outfits.

One other highlight was when we went to meet the teachers the day before school started.  Minna has the same teacher Joshua had for kindergarten. So the teacher recognized our family, but she didn't realize we had two daughters.  When we walked in Minna ran to her desk while Miriam and Joshua hung out with us.  The teacher saw Joshua with his little sister, and started getting all gabby with Miriam.  Brian and I didn't think too much of it, the preschool teachers love babies, so it made sense to me that kindergarten teachers love preschoolers.  It was a little odd there were a lot of people there to dote over one little sister though, then we realized that the teacher though that Miriam was our kindergartener.  Nope not yet, though I am sure that Miriam would love it.
