After Christmas Terry, Bob, and Jacob came up to visit. Minna was so excited to see Grandpa Bob a couple of weeks earlier she dressed up like him.
Our house only has 3 bedrooms and so we have to get creative for sleeping arrangements. Fortunately we have this big closet we use as a little room and it is so versatile. Normally we have legos in it, but we cleaned them up and turned it into a Harry Potter closet for Joshua and Jacob to sleep in. They loved it, and Jacob dubbed Joshua Harry, and himself Harry's twin.
For the main Christmas present for our family we asked to go rock climbing. We had a blast.
Minna surprised us and was the first one up the wall. She loved the self belayers because she could bounce back down so fast.
After Minna was the first one to reach the top, Jacob and Joshua made it up there. They just needed a little motivation from their younger sister/cousin.
Miriam didn't go as high as we expected, partly because her little size made reaching things difficult, but she still had a blast.
And Brian and I enjoyed some climbing too.
The last day they were here we got a lot of snow, so we played in it all morning. We went sledding, built a wall (with the help of some water from inside to soften the snow) and then the kids harassed Grandpa Bob, chasing him with snowballs, and burying him in the snow.
And then we were so sad to see them go that Joshua tried to block them in his sleep. He slept blocking the hall to the stairs making it a bit of a project as they tried to take stuff down to their car to leave.
