When we became pregnant with Joshua we tried to buy as many gender neutral stuff as possible so that if we have a girl someday we can use the things again. The idea hasn't worked so well for clothes because Joshua looks terrible in yellows and oranges and there are not that many greens available. Besides he looks great in blue, it makes his eyes stand out even more.
Yesterday I went grocery shopping with Joshua. He had on light blue pants and a white t-shirt with little blue dogs on it. It isn't his most masculine outfit, but he definitely wasn't wearing pink or anything girly. Well twice....TWICE, old ladies came up to tell me how beautiful my DAUGHTER was. They didn't figure out he was a boy until they asked how old SHE is. Then I replied HIS birthday is Saturday. Poor kid.
