This week for play group we went to a firestation. It was alot of fun. The firestation is mostly staffed (or fully I am not sure), by volunteers. They were a bunch of older guys and one college kid. They just seemed happy to have people to talk to and told tons of stories. They were really good with the kids, and let them try on the fireman outfits. They also had a fireman dress up in the full outfit, including the mask, so the kids know not to be afraid if they see a fireman coming to help them. The bigger kids got to climb in the fire truck and look around, and they got to help squirt a fire hose. The day ended with the kids playing in the giant puddle from the water from the fire hose.
Here are some pictures:
They gave all the kids plastic fireman hats.

Here is Joshua by the brand new fire truck. It was delievered less than one week ago. It cost $810,000.00. But the old one lasted 22 years, so it is a good investment. The firemen were so excited about the new truck.

This last picture was taken at our apartment. My mom gave Joshua this cool fire engine toy, and since he had the hat, I had to take a picture.
