Easter Weekend

The week before Easter we dyed some Easter eggs with some neighborhood friends. Joshua was so excited to make blue eggs. Minna was having a rough teething day, but after I gave her some Tylenol she settled down and quit trying to throw everything including the eggs and dyes. Here they all are dying their eggs. Minna's favorite part was stirring the egg around in the cup while it dyed. Joshua liked it when all the eggs were dry there was some thicker paint to put on top. He made each of his eggs have some blue on them. Here is Joshua's hands when he was done. And Minna's hands. And here is the finished product. Minna's eggs all of stickers on them. I think the eggs turned out really pretty.
Easter weekend started out with the primary Easter activity. Joshua was super excited.
They started out playing games.

We also had a lesson and an Easter egg hunt. The kids had a lot of fun. Then that afternoon Brian and Joshua started the chicken coop. I took this picture of them. Don't they look so much alike?

Easter morning the kids got sandbox toys, fish toys for the tub, and more picture scripture stories.

We also donned our Easter best.

Then Joshua got too close for comfort for Minna.

For dinner we went to a friends house for a delicious dinner. The kids did amazing at the kids table.

After dinner the kids gathered together for an Easter egg hunt.

Joshua enjoyed the running part of searching, he would pass by obvious eggs just to run.

Minna insisted that Brian help hold the grass out of the way to help her get the eggs.

We had a great time and came home very full. It was a very fun Easter weekend.
