Turkey Day!

Our awesome neighbors down the street raised turkeys this year and gave us one.  This was their first year doing it and they got them a little early in the season, so by the time Thanksgiving came around the birds were around 30 pounds.

We had to guess how long to cook it, and we ended up over cooking it a little bit, but it was the best tasting turkey we had ever had.  There was also so much of it.  We had invited a family over for Thanksgiving, but they were not able to come.  So we had turkey leftovers the rest of the week in one form or another, and then we froze a bunch.  I think this was the first year we have had our fill of turkey.
