Joshua enjoyed his first day. After he had played with his legos and eaten a ton of food (school always makes him starving) he was ready to tell us all about his new class and teacher. He seems excited for the new year.
Minna was quite excited after her first day. She said it was better than she expected, because she didn't expect it to be so much fun. She was talking to her teachers and to at least some of the kids, which is a big deal for her. When Brian came home from work she was jumping up and down from excitement as she told Brian about her day.
Miriam was the most traumatized. She cried when she couldn't get on the bus with Joshua. She got upset that she couldn't paint at school with Minna. And then when we left Minna at school she was hysterical. She kept crying," Uh oh, Minna! Uh oh Minna!" over and over again for about 15 minutes. Even after she settled down and I thought she was enjoying some one and one time with mommy, she stared singing a song to bring Minna back. I couldn't understand most of the words to quote it, but that was the gist of it. So everyone is excited for school tomorrow except for the little girl who isn't going to school.
