Then we took the girls over to Minna's friend Myna's house and ate hot dogs and went trick or treating with her family and one other family. Since Halloween was on Saturday we were able to get going earlier and started when it was light. It was still dark and chilly when we got done, but not too bad, especially compared to other years.
Minna went as a cat.
Even though in this picture she looks annoyed, she actually had a lot of fun, and smiled and laughed a lot.
Miriam was a monster princess. Thanks to someone at truck or treat she got to have monster teeth for her picture too.
Earlier in the week for family night we painted pumpkins.
Brian's pumpkin was a monster with a snotty nose.Joshua's was appropriately scary.
Here is Miriam's when I thought she was done. The girls just kept applying layers of paint and glitter over and over again.
Here is my pumpkin who is Hitler dying of small pox. I thought that was scary.
Here is what Miriam's pumpkin ended up looking like when finally took the paint away.
Here is Minna's pumpkin, when again I took the paint away.
