We went to Tennessee

We got to go to Tennessee to visit Brian's family.  The trip starts out with a lot of preparation and then a 14 hour (usually about 16 hours including stops).   Miriam was really excited to go see Bob, definitely Bob.  We had gotten a book from the library about a bunch of animals named Bob, so I told Miriam her grandpa's name is Bob.  So she called him Bob the whole time.  We stopped at the visitor's center in Pennsylvania and we saw a display for the Priesthood restoration site.  They put the church's name in wrong so I know it wasn't the church who put it there.  It was kind of cool.
We made it there and back fine, but tired.
The first day there after resting in the morning, we went to the zoo. It was really hot so we enjoyed stopping in the air conditioned areas.

The girls also got to feed the giraffe.  Miriam loves giraffes in theory but was nervous about actually feeding it.  Minna was super excited to do it though.

Sunday we went to church and the girls passed notes with their aunt and uncle, and their cousin Jacob was really excited to show them where primary was.

Monday we went on a hike in a area with trails in the morning, and played in a river that was really cold, and walked down a train track. Then we went back the afternoon and went paddle boarding.  That was probably the favorite activity for everyone there.  We don't have any pictures because we were too busy splashing around.  Grandpa's hat got stolen, and several boards were taken leaving paddlers stranded.  The water was very pleasant and everyone enjoyed being in the water as well as on the paddle board.

Tuesday we went to go visit our friends the Hannons.  Our kids acted like they were best friends and got along great, and their kids kept asking us when we would come back.  It made me happy since I used to watch the older two when the Hannons lived around us.  We ended up the fun day having ice cream for dinner.
Wednesday we visited Brian's paternal grandmother and then his Dad.  The kids had lots of fun running around there.

Thursday Brian and I left the kids with their grandparents and went to the Atlanta Temple to do sealings. It has been a long time since we have gone in together because one of us is usually watching the kids.  It was super nice to go in together.  While we were gone the kids and their cousin went to jump jam.

Friday we went to a waterpark . We got rained out, but we had fun before then, and it wasn't crowded which was a major win for me.

Saturday we went to Brian's cousin's wedding.  It was really nice and it was good to see more family.

Also while we were there the girl's got their hair colored blue for Miriam and pink for Minna.

It was a fun trip and the kids are talking about it a lot and can't wait to see their grandparents and their cousin and their aunts and uncles again.
