2015 Utah Trip Part 4-Oh yeah we went to BYU

One of the first days we were there, we needed something to do on a hot afternoon so we went to BYU.  Brian and I's goal is to get the kids to like BYU, because it is probably one of the best schools that we can afford.  But we made them hike around campus, which is a long way for little legs, in over 100 degree heat, and we couldn't even stop at the creamery because Minna can't have milk, so we may have made them hate BYU.

We started at the library. The kids were impressed by the sheer size of it, and by the samurai display they had.  My dad tried to go out the back door of the library.  It has been gone for at least 12 years.  I wondered where he was going hiking off through the middle of the library.  Then we went to the book store and looked at stuff that we couldn't afford when we were poor college students, and we still can't afford now even though Brian is employed.

We were starting to loose the kids by then, so a quick pick me up apple, and then we went to the Eyring Science Building.  The kids got a kick out the stuff there.

They liked the air poofer.
They tried to pick up the super dense material.
Then we went to the Bean Museum.  The kids were so excited to see a slide.

Then there were the animals.  Miriam loved the elephant

Time will tell if our plan was a success or a failure, if they like BYU, or hate it.
