2015 Utah Trip-The Zoo More picture overload

Monday we finally had some cooler temperatures.  Around 90, with no humidity, and some shade, didn't feel too bad. So we went to the zoo.  My sister Heather took some more awesome pictures here.

This is a young elephant about 5 years old.  Her mom and her had just been hosed down, then afterwards, she likes to go for a swim.

The zookeepers say she is spoiled because her mom still lets her nurse. They would like to get the mother pregnant again, but since she is still nursing it is not taking.

 

We all commented on how uncomfortable this looks. But the seals just seem to keep their flipper in the air for forever.

 

These bears started wrestling.  I had to laugh I had one sister who was in Alaska during the zoo trip, who didn't see any bears. And another sister was taking pictures that made her look like she was in Alaska.

 

This is a 10 monthish baby orangutan.  His mother died shortly after birth.  They were able to convince his adolescent sister to raise him though.  It was super fun watching him climb around.
