Wrapped Around His Finger....Still Can't Make it to the Movies

Terry and Bob came in this weekend for a last visit while we live in Charleston. Joshua wanted nothing to do with them. He would cry the saddest cry if they got too close. Holding him was not an option. Finally Saturday afternoon he settled down a little bit, and would let either his Grandma or Grandpa (never both at the same time) play with him, as long as I was in the room. Brian and I had hoped to leave right after dinner to go to the movies, but to keep Joshua from going hysterical we stayed and put him to bed. We think Joshua was so upset because whenever Terry and Bob come Brian and I go out for a night, and Joshua thinks that is not cool. So Joshua has complete and utter control over us and Brian and I stayed to put him to bed.

Brian and I then left in a hurry for the movies. Brian had looked up the address and the map for the theater when we moved in and there was one right by the local mall. Before we left Brian looked at the address again and it said "Mall Drive". So we head over to the local mall and drive around and do not see a theater. We park and go inside and look at the map and no theater. We asked for directions and come to find out the one by the local mall went out of business recently, and the one on Mall Drive is 20 minutes away. The movie we were going to try to see was starting as we figured this out, so we bagged going to the movies again. Instead we went and go dessert and rented Madagascar 2. Maybe someday we will make it to the movies.

  1. Yikes, he must be going through the stranger anxiety stage. Keep trying, you'll make it one day!
