The county fair had tons of animals, including cows, chickens, pigs, horses, goats, sheep, bunnies, and even reindeer. Joshua loved seeing all the different kinds of animals, and even got to pet a baby calf, a couple of draft horses, and a pig. One of the funnest things there is the pig racing. They start out with wild pigs, then domestic pigs, and then potbelly pigs. The potbelly pigs just wander around except they trained one to run to the finish line, but not go through it, so it just stands at the finish line until the next pig runs by. It is funny when you actually see it.
Joshua's favorite thing of the county fair was the lion and tiger show.
The tigers were trained to do cool tricks and the lions were trained to be funny not doing the cool tricks. The tigers would jump through fire, then the lions would look at the fire and jump off the stool; the tigers would jump over fences and one lion would crawl under, and the other would just lay there.

After the county fair I finally let my family see our house. Emily and Nathan stayed at the house so they all didn't have to be cramped in a hotel room. Minna slept in a closet for two weeks while we had family in town. Her room became the guest room. Emily and Nathan were a big help with the kids.
Joshua loved all the attention.

The next day was Sunday and we blessed Minna, I will do a post just for that later.
Monday we went for a walk on the hiking trail down the street from my house. I was amazed at how much faster we could go with me not being pregnant and Joshua having some help.
Then my family went to the horse races while the kids napped.

Then we enjoyed Congress park.
Wednesday the last day together we went down to my parents hotel and went swimming. Joshua would never get in the water, but he kicked his feet in, threw balls in and demanded hand stands from Emily and Nathan. That night we enjoyed pizza from Village Pizzeria.
Minna was a trooper throughout all this and just loved the extra attention.
We had such a fun time and we were glad they could come visit us from Utah.
