The Tuesday we were there was rainy so we decided to hit up the Bean Museum. If you haven't been there its like a zoo, but all the animals are taxidermied. Joshua's favorite exhibits was the African one with the lions.
Minna wasn't quite so into it. She mostly fussed when the stroller stopped moving and she wasn't being fed.
But she did enjoy the exhibits with bears in them. Whenever we would pass a bear (even a bear that doesn't look like a bear) she would squeal in delight.
Brian and I found it fascinating that Africa has about a bazillion types of dear/gazelle things in so many sizes from the size of a rat to a horse. Some even have weirdly long necks.
After we went through the Bean Museum it had stopped raining so we went to see the Provo Temple. Joshua thinks any building with a steeple on it is a temple (including the carousel in Saratoga Springs) so we wanted to show him a real temple while it was convenient. Joshua was mostly impressed by the fountains.
After we visited the temple grounds we wanted to go walk around BYU for old time's sake. It was weird walking around and not seeing anyone I knew. But it was fun showing Joshua the library, and I went in the new part of the Tanner Building for the first time. The campus was beautiful as it always is in May. Being there brought back lots of memories, but it made me feel old since I have been graduated for over 3 years.
