Pumpkin Patch-A catch up post

Between being tired and pregnant and the general craziness I have missed a few things I wanted to blog about, so here is my first catch-up post.

For our field trip playgroup in October we went to the pumpkin patch at Ellm's Farms. First we tried to take a group picture, but the kids don't really look happy at all.

Fortunately they soon were much more excited. We went through the corn maze, then we rode a tractor out to the pumpkin patch.
It had been really rainy, so we got to take an extra long tractor ride to avoid the mud.

Then we got to pick a pumpkin.
These are the pumpkins the kids painted right before Halloween. Then they gave us an apple cider donut and some apple cider, then we got to play on the cool stuff they have there. Since we went during the week and as a group we were on a tight schedule and could only spend a little time at each place. Each thing was so fun that the kids could have spent tons of time there. Maybe some year we will make it on a weekend and be able to spend as much time as we want. But even with the tight schedule the kids had fun. Here is what they did.

First it was off to the corn kernel box.
It is much less messy than sand, but still tons of fun.
Then we went to the jumping pillow which is tons of fun for all.

Then the kids played on the slide for a long time, but I didn't get a picture of that. Then finally they went to the water pumps and pumped little duckies along the slide.

Joshua found a few other places worthy of pictures on the way out.

On the way home Joshua started crying, "more fun, more fun". I would have to say this place is a hit.
