Barrington Family Visit part 1

My family came to visit the first week in July.  We have a lot more pictures from that visit because the adults or almost adults out numbered the kids.  Both of my parents came and my siblings Emily and Nathan.  My parents stayed at a hotel because our house is small, but Emily and Nathan stayed at the house to help out.  Emily and Nathan would even get up at 6:30 when Joshua did, which was totally amazing.

The kids loved the attention/servitude my family gave them.  Minna started off a little shy but soon learned the benefit of having them all around.

Minna found out that she could almost always get anything she wanted.  And if she didn't get what she wanted she would just burst into tears and holler, "My Mommy!!!".  That way everyone would bow to her wishes the next time around.

Joshua loved the entertainment and had a lot of fun with Emily and Nathan playing Mario Kart with him.  He actually got quite a bit better.  After all the practice he has even won a few races after everyone went home.

It was close but I think Nathan might have been the favorite of this trip, (I was Nathan's favorite sister when I still lived at home).  For Joshua he had a super cool big brother vibe going.  Minna found that she could pretty much get her way with him all the time.  It took me a few days to convince people that she could walk sometimes.

The kids also developed fun games like "boat fishing" where they would get on chairs in the living room and pretend to fish, and they also made a cage where Nathan had to be various zoo animals.

Emily was probably the most helpful.  She also made sure to hold Miriam whenever her arms were available.  If I put the baby down, it wouldn't be two minutes until Emily scooped her up.

And the grandparents were there too.  My mom's spent a lot of time cuddling Miriam.
She also read a lot of stories to the kids, and even spent over an hour with Joshua doing a sticker book.

My dad spent his time just enjoying and spoiling the grandkids.  Minna certainly remembered her spoiling from the last visit.

Joshua loved learning T-ball with Grandpa.

Yep it was fun.  I will post the specifics of the visit later.
