Miriam has picked a lot of things up earlier than the other kids did, just from following their example. She has noticed that everyone folds their arms for prayers, and so she has started doing it too. When we realized she was doing this, we starting praising her, usually clapping, or just telling her good job.
Well now she expects it. If she folds her arms and we don't cheer for her, she will start making loud and obnoxious noises until we tell her that she did a good job. Today in sacrament meeting she insisted on being praised three times during the closing prayer, because the prayer was long enough she folded her arms three times. Then this afternoon she randomly folded her arms while we were eating. I told her, "Good job Miriam, but we aren't praying right now." She looked at me real hard and started clapping for herself. These kids.
